Beware of Phishing SMS Messages Purportedly from CMHK

In recent years, scammers have employed varied defrauding tricks. One of the newest one is to imitate large-scale corporations to obtain personal information and credit card details of the recipients.

We have been alerted that some customers have received SMS from fraudulent accounts e.g. "CM-HK, -CMHK", claiming that the status of their CMHK mobile number or monthly bill is abnormal, and the service will be suspended within hours, and a fraudulent link to the "security center" has been provided.

China Mobile Hong Kong strongly urges customers not to reply to this SMS or click the link in the message. We are now closely following up the incident. If in doubts, please call the Customer Service hotline 12580 for verification, or call the Hong Kong Police Force's Anti-Fraud Coordination Center "Anti-Fraud Easy" hotline 18222 for inquiries.
